When I first met Maren, I noticed not only how beautiful she is but also how easy it is to just chat with her–about anything. We talked over coffee about her engagement and wedding. She told me about her family and about her interior design business. It’s like you’ve known her for ages. I was feeling quite frumpy in my gigantic sweater as I was beginning to show my pregnant belly. I ended up telling her about my pregnancy at the end of our meeting. I hadn’t really planned on it, since it wouldn’t affect her as I was due several months before her day. But, it’s like that with her, you feel like you can just tell her stuff:) She was so sweet and ended up asking me as many questions as I had asked her.
Maren and Matt were married at the Saddle and Cycle Club this June. We started at the Trump Hotel where Maren put on her dress with her mother and sister. All of the girls entered to see her once she was ready. I had never photographed a bride putting on her dress this way and it was such a special and emotional moment. After, we met the boys at the Saddle and Cycle club where they were putting on their ties and finishing getting ready in the ballroom’s mirrors. Matt and Maren decided to have a first look so they saw each other for the first time on the small balcony that overlooks the grounds of the venue. It was an intimate and perfect spot. Their ceremony was officiated by a family friend and was personalized and sentimental. Following were cocktails on the veranda and dinner and dancing in the gorgeous ballroom. The ten piece band kept the party going all night. Thank you Matt and Maren for being soooo great to us. We had a fabulous time with your family and friends. Your day was perfection!
