Mae District Wedding – Ryan and Ross

I always ask my couples for a few words to describe their vision, to better help guide me when capturing their day, and Ryan and Ross mentioned the adjectives modern, upscale, timeless, and fun. Located in the Motor Row District, Mae District was the perfect venue to bring Ryan and Ross’ vision to life. The building is steeped in Chicago history – it was built in the 1800s, and later belonged to Al Capone (whose wife’s name was Mae) – and is the quintessential blend of old school glam, perfectly mixed with modern touches.

Ryan and Ross also mentioned loving candids and told us to feel free to get up close to capture all of the emotion. I photographed the first part of the wedding day and my associate photographer Lane and second shooter Chrissy finished with the ceremony and reception. Below are some of my favorites from the day.
