I met Houssey and Gunther for the first time over Skype. Can I just say that I LOVE Skype?! I’ve had the chance to work with some fabulous couples this year because I was able to meet them at their home right from my office. I do realize that the internet is not all new and stuff but more and more people are electing to meet virtually so it’s great that it’s an option for out of town and busy couples.
Houssey and Gunther live in Nairobi but decided to get married in Chicago. We coordinated times for a Skype chat (my morning, their evening:) and we just hit it off from the start. They have a very sweet story. They met in Africa where a shared passion fighting malaria brought them together. At first they were colleagues and friends but they liked each other a lot:) Houssey moved to the US, they missed each other and realized it might be something more and began a long distance relationship. Eventually, Houssey moves back to Nairobi. These two are just super duper in love and the kindest people you’ll meet. Their wedding at the South Shore Cultural Center was so much fun to document. Below are some selections from their day.
