I used to never check my IG inbox but one day I noticed a brief message in my “other” folder asking if I shoot proposals. I answered and soon received a reply back from Grant’s mother who was helping him find a photographer to document his proposal to Allison. Shortly after, I documented THE SWEETEST proposal at Summer House Santa Monica under a large hanging YES canvas in the middle booth of the restaurant. It was so fun and everyone cheered like in the movies. (note– you can scroll way back on my IG feed if you’d like to see the moment:)
Sooo, I actually first met Allison and Grant on the day they got engaged. Soon after, they set a date and I photographed their engagement session, rehearsal dinner and then their stunning wedding. It was so fun to get to know these two and their lovely families along the way.
Below are selections from Allison and Grant’s wedding day. I loved the Gothic architecture elements of both of their venues– the Fourth Presbyterian Church and the chic Chicago Athletic Association Hotel. There were so many opportunities for me to play with light and angles as well as capture sweet moments throughout the day.
