Katja and Tom celebrated their wedding at Black Iris Estate in Carmel, Indiana just outside of Indianapolis. Their outdoor ceremony started just after a brief rain shower (always pretty light!). It was so lovely with gorgeous florals by The Empty Vase in Indianapolis balancing out the rod iron archway perfectly. After, we took some photos around the property just steps from the mansion. Katja really liked that aspect of the venue and it was so easy to make lovely photos right there on location. She mentioned that she really wanted photos with lots of greenery which fit well with the whole look of the wedding. I think about that when I am shooting–the palette of what all the photos will look like when viewed together. The green from the grounds as well as the girls dress colors worked beautifully with the floral design and rest of the reception decor.
It was so much fun to shoot in Indy again and with such a loving pair. I was able to document so much with these two– their engagement, rehearsal dinner, and finally their wedding day. Thank you Katja and Tom for being so great to work with and trusting me with it all! Below are some of my selections from their wedding day– and it was hard to choose:)
