Engagement Session | Lydia & Royce

Lydia and Royce came to me with creative ideas for their engagement session in our first meeting.  I love that they understand color, form, and texture and how those play out in photos. We decided a longer session would be good for them so we could shoot in different parts of the city. They knew they wanted the Stony Island Arts Bank to be one of the locations and had even done a bit of scouting. We had the library and empty gallery to ourselves which worked out perfect. After, we met up in the West Loop and finished the session downtown. These two are super easy to photograph because they are completely comfortable together and it shows. I’ve said it before, but the best photos are always a collaboration between the photographer and the subject(s). We took a lot of photos! I’ve picked a selection of faves below.
