Amanda & Mike

I photographed Amanda and Mike’s engagement session on a day that was nearly 100 degrees.  Looking at these photos I can’t even believe it was that hot out but I still remember feeling like I was baking with a camera in my hand:) These two were so amazing and never complained. We planned their session for a date when they would be in town since they both live and work a few hours from Chicago. We decided to keep the scheduled time even though we knew it would be super hot that day. Amanda and Mike recommended meeting at an area in Northbrook called The Glen. I love suggestions from clients and they both really liked this area so it was nice to shoot somewhere different than my usual spots. At one point, we popped into a department store to cool off and for a clothing change so I had them riding the escalator and standing in the doorways for a couple of shots. I definitely see more department stores (and their fabulous air conditioners) in my future for summer sessions:).  We finished at a local restaurant and since it was so hot out we had the patio all to ourselves.

Thank you Amanda and Mike for being so great to work with. I can’t wait to photograph your wedding next year! Below are some of my favorites.
