Jane and Jon chose to have their engagement session at Lake Michigan near the Belmont Harbor. I ask couples to choose where we meet so they can select a location they feel represents them. Jon asked Jane to marry him here, so this is definitely a significant place for the two of them. We took all their portraits within a relatively small area. Selecting a place like this that has the shore, trees, boats, city view, etc., is another great way to choose a location for an engagement session. This way you get a variety in the images all in one spot. We ended the evening with a couple of portraits on the stairs by the lake–at THE location:).
